Ladies night out for dinner and was looking forward to trying something new. I arrived early and popped into the bar to take advantage of the happy hour menu, before the rest of the group arrived. I must admit, seeing carpaccio as an option, made my heart sing. I'm a huge fan, and that item alone will always make me walk in the door of any establishment. The portion was perfect, and I was more than happy to consider it an appetizer. A chocolate martini, just doubled my pleasure. By the time my friends arrived it was time to move to the dining room and decide in a second course. I opted for the ahi tuna and my night was complete. I'll return for happy hour any day of the week.

We stopped here for some drinks and apps on our way to dinner elsewhere. There were plenty of outdoor seats on a cool Flordia night. The busy bartender came to our seat immediately. Drinks were well made and reasonable although it may have been happy hour pricing. Ordered some garlic bread (above average, warmed correctly and delicious) along with fried Calamari with a dipping sauce. We enjoyed it and it was a great first stop. BTW, do checkout the very interesting bathrooms.

What you'd expect for higher-priced Italian food. Not necessarily worth the price, but I certainly haven't had a bad meal. In this area of Palm Beach Gardens, considering the ambiance, the prices aren't much more than you'd expect. The hidden gem at Vic & Angelo's is the burger. Although I haven't been in awhile, I would often go for lunch and felt they offer the best burger in Palm Beach Gardens.

So it's in the upper 70s without a cloud in the sky on Easter Sunday...how good is this one might ask while being seated outdoors at local restaurant with gorgeous outdoor patio and ambiance, Vic & Angelos Palm Beach Gardens. Unfortunately, that's where the pleasantries end at this overconfident, boastful, and disappointing restaurant. Before I go into today's regretful display of food and deplorable customer service, let me tell you this is NOT a one-time miss. Experience #1: Myself, wife, and friend finish dining outdoors late afternoon, 3 friends meet us after dinner for cocktails at our table...Everyone was drinking moderately expensive wine for Palm Beach Gardeners ($22 or so a glass!) Server brings check at end with automatic gratuity of 18 or 20% included stating we met the auto- gratuity party # minimum and just because they joined post-dinner, the menu states parties of 5 or 6 (can't remember exactly) are subject to automatic gratuity...Chances are, we'd tip that amount anyways, but to be REQUIRED to pay a premium tip on premium wine is an outrage. Experience #2: My wife asks for recommendation on house favorites pertaining to pastas. She is told that the hottest seller on the menu and a must-eat is the Bone-in Veal Chop. He's actually on the money with this call as I ordered it once before and it was quite good, but recommending this to a petite woman looking for a pasta dish...inappropriate and certainly not suitable! Experience #3: Friend orders coffee with Sambuca. Check arrives with 2 $10 charges for Sambuca and a $5 charge for coffee. When asked, server states that he assumed patron wanted a "double". He takes the 2nd Sambuca charge off without a dispute. Nice? Perhaps. But what audacity! Experience today for Easter Brunch: Seated at 2pm (buffet ends at 3). I warm up with some peel & eat shrimp and snow crab legs as my eyes are glued to the Carving Station featuring Ham and Prime Rib. The Prime Rib has a warm brown/black color to it and is clearly unacceptable to all that aren't looking for an end cut. I figure, well I'll eat some of the other stuff until they bring the next hunk of beef. Well, that time never comes. I ask the man serving it if he will be bringing another Roast out and he explains that since the buffet ends in less than 1 hour, what will be presented, has been presented already. I approach a man that looks to be a Manager and he confirms that there will not be another Roast Prime Rib of Beef arriving. To my extreme disappointment, but ironic delight to my cardiologist, I wind up eating no meat at all this Sunday Brunch. As I write this review, a mere 90 minutes from returning from this dispiriting experience, I resume thoughts from 90 minutes prior to dining at Vic & Angelo's-PBG...I'm hungry, where the hell should I eat??

This place is HORRIBLE. Do not go here. Ever. You're welcome.

To be honest I was really hesitant to try this place because of the recent bad reviews of this place but I am glad I ignored those comments. We arrived at around 6pm on a Saturday night, not too crazy yet. The place is cozy. Had a great waiter named Sam who recommended almost everything on the menu. First they bring the bread out (yummy) while you wait, tried two pasta dishes. Food came out quick, huge portions, both pretty good! Looking forward to coming back to try other items on the menu.

I'm a New Yorker so I'm used to attitude and I promise you if that's what you're looking for, this place puts out attitude in spades. From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave there's not a friendly face in the bunch - staff looks utterly miserable. When they first opened it was quite the hotspot, but in recent years the food has become inedible. To pay exorbitant prices for cafeteria food is just not okay. At this point they are basically living off the tourists that come into the local hotels, because I don't think any locals still bother with this place. It could be such a great place to eat, it's in a really prime spot with nice outdoor seating but clearly management could care less about quality and after too many chances our family is done wasting money at this place.

I ordered the veil rollatini. it was the smallest portion I have ever ordered. it was under seasoned and dry. My wife ordered the brick chicken that looked like charcoal. The cook missed on both these dishes tonight.

This is one of my favorite places to go eat outside with our dog Fancy. The food is always consistently good and I'm obsessed with their chicken wings. They bake them (score!) and are covered with rosemary, onions and parmesan cheese. So good! Also, I really enjoy the pizza, grouper with sweet potatoes and my fiancé likes the sea bass. All delicious and light. Service is spotty. I have had ok service here and pretty awful too. Once we left with an entirely wrong order of $200+ bucks worth of food. Needless to say we weren't happy. All in all, this place is always on rotation in our list of places to frequent.

  • Timothy W.

    They have really great pizza!

    (4)
  • Bob D.

Absolutely no idea why the place is busy for terrible Italian food. A 20.00 meatball? Pathetic...So many better places to go for much much better food without the attitude.

The Banana Cream Pie with the thick graham cracker crust is to die for! Starting a review for an excellent Italian restaurant with dessert is a bit unorthodox but this awesome dessert was memorable. While waiting for an outdoor table we had a drink at one of the comfortable outdoor lounges. The vibe here is very "happening" and the full tables and waits are appropriate for the quality and value of this place.Once seated we began with a great Grilled Octupus salad. This rarely seen dish is on the regular menu here and it was very good. They also serve a very good hot garlic bread which was replenished upon request. For our entrees my wife and I shared the Veal Milanese "salad" and the Rigatoni Bolognese. Both dishes were excellent and it was plenty of food to share. Service was very attentive with frequent visits from our waiter Brian. Overall, this restaurant will be a regular stop for us when we visit the West Palm Beach area. Overall, a great dining experience!

I'm not quite sure how this place is so busy. Very nice staff and lively place which is serving cafeteria style food. I have to say that our family eats out quite often and tried this based on some decent reviews. The food was inedible on all four of our accounts of it. Even a chopped salad was horrid along with the parmigiana dinner, a fish special that was so sour and distasteful that my 25 year old son who eats everything! could not eat more than a few bites. My daughter ordered a pasta dish and it had absolutely no taste. We all decided not to finish our means and went out for ice cream and called it a night.

I don't go out to dinner much and when i do i want it to be worth it. I had heard great things about Vic's and so about a week ago my friends and I decided to go out for dinner and I suggested Vic's hoping what i heard was right so i didn't look like a fool in front of my friends. Well all i have to say is that it's definitely worth every penny we spent. The food was fantastic and our service was second to none. I believe our waiters name was Mike and he made the experience even more entertaining. He was extremely busy with other tables, but he would somehow always be there when we needed him. It was amazing how he could keep everything going with how busy it was and his humor and personality was second to none. I will leave this review with this. Definitely go to Vic's because the food is amazing and if you get the opportunity ask for Mike as your waiter.

I frequent V & A's when I am in town. The service is usually good, and the food is served hot. Atmosphere is pleasant but if is crowded it can get a little loud.

  • Lauren E.

I got the ravioli and it was delicious! But you can imagine how disappointed I was when I was still hungry after finishing my plate of 5 ravioli. I'd definitely come back, especially because of the amazing service, however I'd be sure to order an entree that came in a larger portion.

Fried calamari not much taste or flair, needs a better presentation. Mussels tasty, good to sop up with the bread.Very decent happy hour prices..

Easy place to take most anyone with an interesting menu and nice beer and wine list. Fun, lively atmosphere. The bread is yummy too!

Ok fair considered mediocre in Brooklyn. The price wow $ 27 for pasta I don't care if it was flown in from naples. The waiter is there real ones left or just college kids with no personality. This kind of money I expect a manager to come over and thank you very much for paying for his lambo.

Such a great find! Food is always great, but food, music, experience is great with our kids that can play outside while we enjoy a night out.

We dined tonight at Vic and Angelo's. Sean was not our waiter, but served our food. He was extremely friendly and courteous. Great sense of humor!!! When we left he continued to bring his positive attitude and humor to our night!

  • Jimmy M.

Big disappointment. The one in Delray is much better. Understaffed so service was very poor, had to wait long time between drinks and courses, old plates and glasses sat on table for long time. Food was not good for the price, the 18$ meatball was not good, the many of our entrees were not good either, we had a group of 18. Will not be back.

    (2)
  • Bob R.

Great food and great service. This was our first time after living nearby for a while. It exceeded all our expectations. There are many items on the menu that we can't wait to go back and try. You should make a reservation. We walked in and got a bar table on a Friday night so we had the bar crowd adjacent to our table. Given that we just walked in, we were happy to just get a table.

LOVE THIS PLACE! 1. Most amazing garlic bread ever 2. Yummy chicken parm 3. Friendly servers 4. Comfy booths 5. Fun!

Sat in noisy lounge area, food was okay not really to temperature but the worst part of my visit was the manager. The nice young lady was trying to assist us when the manager butted in and spoke in a very rude, uneducated and argumentative manner. The saving grave was another employee coming over to our table to apologize for the rude behavior of the manager. She said he does this often and to not take it personally. Vic ' s ownership should look into a coaching moment for him.

  • Jayne B.

We always visit V&A's when we are in town because we love their food. We do not however like the atmosphere as it is very noisy and you have a hard time talking. At our last visit this week, we were seated in a booth next to the kitchen door and the waiters kept banging the door against our booth's back and it was quite annoying. We complained but not much was done about it. Not offered a compensation. We will probably go back but will definitely request a different table.

Happy Hour the Italian way! Our office crew went to V&A for apps and drinks. We wanted to do the happy hour, but got stuck at a table. So no happy hour prices. However, the manager did give us a little discount. The wine was flowing and it was generously poured. The appetizers were very good. The chicken wings, Italian style, were fantastic. The truffle pizza was the best I ever had. We couldn't resist dessert. We loved the oreo zeppoli. What a FAB idea. The pistachio tartuffo was delish. Loved the tiramisu. Did not like the cheese cake. Very heavy. We also loved the entertainment he was great. Yeah, I'm a fan and will be back soon.

We're from the east coast in jersey outside of nyc so my expectations are low when I eat italian while traveling. Let me tell you, this is the real deal! Food was amazing, best linguini with clam sauce I've had in a while. Everyone loved their dishes, service was great!

    (5)
  • Joel K.

Expensive pseudo-Italian food with one othe worst pizzas. Though I do not think a good pizza can be found in Florida. The red sauce is a tasteless, lumpy mess. Service is juvenile and fits in with the food. The front desk was pleasant.

  • RK K.

Christmas Eve day: YUK! Miniature portions, horrible service. Over rated. over priced, over here. Why is it one person gets six pieces of bread and a table for six gets six pieces? How cheesy is the" we fill water bottles with tap water to make you think it is bottled water"? Never again. Parents save up to take their kids to diner (all adults) and then this is the quality.

    (1)
  • Susan H.

Awful. Served burnt pizza. Gave me attitude. Argued with me said coal fired pizza is always that way, burnt. Would not even make a new one. I walked out which I have never done in 54 years. Snobby and snooty

  • Ben S.

Nice place. Had Fusilli Chicken. Pretty good. I like garlic, but maybe just a few too many large slices of garlic. Chicken was battered and fried then cut into pieces. The flat bread; too oily, too salty (garlic) too much oregano, etc. you have to scrape a lot off and look for some parts not drenched in olive oil. Good try, but over-seasoned and too oily! Service was personable and quick enough. The water, wherever it came from, was little funky tasting. Get a good filter system!

  • Deb S.

My husband and I had a great evening. The restaurant has a nice busy feeling and the server was very attentive and provided great service. It is a bit expensive. One glass of wine was $14.00 each. Pasta was $28.00- it was good - but honestly that is too expensive for what it was.... We had one appetizer, two glasses of wine, two pastas, and two coffee for $100.00. We would recommend the place- it is lovely- but a bit expensive for what we got.

Always a pleasure to dine at this restaurant Food and service makes you feel at home like in Venice( Italy) Bravo to the team Italian food doesn't get better then this

Listen being Italian and being from New York, I am always wary of places like this... however Vic and Angelos delivered nicely. Food was solid, staff was very attentive. They use high quality cheeses and pastas. And the wine selection is great. There are a 1000 italian places in New York, but in Palm Beach Gardens this place is a stand out.

    (4)
  • Sarah A.

Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Starter bread is not to be missed. Crunchy, flavorful bread with fresh garlic, olive oil and parm. Expansive wine list with reasonable prices. Lunch menu had good prices too. Pasta was fresh, sauces bright. Will come agin next time we're in town.

First time here have lived here part time for 7 yrs and didn't know it was here came highly recommended from friends in Nantucket mass so we came in tried it and was amazed service great food great came out quick not one complaint and we eat at 5 star restaurants all the time sat at outside bar fantastic atmosphere

  • Steven B.

I've been here at least a dozen times for cocktails and dinner. I think the inside bar is my place to hang out prior to dinner as the bar staff is great, don't get me wrong I can eat at the bar and have. But if your on a date then it's off to restaurant seating for a lovely dinner. Stop by you will enjoy it.

    (5)
  • Jen k.

Visited this place on recommendation from a local while visiting the area. The location is great right on pga blvd. the outside seating is the biggest draw and the service was great as well. I ordered a drink named the water cooler. Yum! And not watered down. Now for the bad news the food.... Husband ordered a pizza which was very large it would have been nice if The server told us that the pizza could've fed us both! It was not bad. I ordered the snapper Francesse it had no flavor! It came with broccoli rob which was very basic! And was quite expensive! If I lived in the area I would not return. Should ve gone across the way to outback!

  • Michael R.

I must say that their Italian is very good because we keep going back. Of course they think they are great. We'd love to return again but having problems with our last experience. Had made reservations for four people. The hostess seated us in the bar next to a group of merrymakers. The decibel level was "over the top". That's okay but I asked the manager to change our table and he said there would be a wait...We were okay with that. However I asked if he would be comfortable with that table we were to sit at for supper and his comment was "It depends how hungry I am!" We've been to this restaurant over a dozen times over the years and my suggestion is that if you wish to remain anonymous, dine there! You'll never be recognized.

Seen it a ton of times driving by but never been in. She did the ordering and it was very good. Ordered a lettuce wedge for us to split then a pizza. Everything was very tasty. Sat outside along PGA Blvd. and it was a very nice evening. Good atmosphere. Would go back for sure.

  • Rachel D.

Probably some of the best food I've ever had. I got the lasagna for my entrée, and the meatball and calamari for appetizers. It was fairly pricey for me, but it honestly was worth it between the food and the incredible service and cleanliness of the whole place.

    (5)
  • Nicki R.

This place is awesome! We had phenomenal service courtesy of Brian and "Uncle Al" and the food was incredible!! I highly recommend the bolognese!!! And PLEASE take it home if you have leftovers!! It's just as good (if not better) the next day!

  • Shaun H.

Best patio bar and Italian Fine Dining around in my opinion! Excellent happy hour specials such as half off appetizers, half off drinks, love it! The pizza is so yummy, and try the skirt steak salad for lunch, I really enjoy this as a lunch entree. The steak is so tender and the greens are so fresh! Warm and welcoming staff, great experience.

  • Karen H.

Great! Stopped in on our way from Miami to Orlando. Convenient enough off the freeway. Great, fresh food. The garlic bread was the best ever. The pasta was fresh and delicious. We also had a gluten free person in our party who says it was the best ever! We'll be back.

I wasn't impressed. It was overpriced and overrated. No one truly loved their meals.

  • Amy Y.

I was here on business and decided to dine in at the bar. The waitress was helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, with the tv screens playing old movies, the music and the outdoor fireplace (though I was sitting indoors). At the waitress recommendation, I had the clams in white sauce over linguine. The dish was tasty but I tasted grittiness... not sure from what. The bread came after my meal but came with butter, 2 cloves of roasted garlic and olive oil dip. I then finished my meal with some pecorino cheese. The bartender/waitress accommodated my request to get one cheese instead of their usual 3-cheese platter. It still came with all the sauces: apricot sauce, honey and this cherry sauce. They were all very yummy but my favorite was with honey or the cherry sauce. I enjoyed my time there and would probably come back to try a different dish. Oh yeah, the glass of sonoma sangiovese I had went great with my entire meal!

  • Cliff O.

Food was great. Waiter was attentive. Manager even came over to see how we were doing and offered free desserts. All great. This, though, was to make up for the series of mistakes which started with them running out of menus, there being a dirty knife on the table and one of our party's dishes coming back as chicken instead of veal.

Vic and Angelo's has an amazing deal on Thursdays - bottomless pasta and salad for $14.95. I couldn't get enough of the Ricotta Gnocchi with pesto! YUMMM! My boyfriend enjoyed the pasta with bolognese & spinach/cheese raviolis. We skipped on the salads to get the good stuff!

Let me come to the point quickly with Vic and Angelos in Palm Beach Gardens. We have not dined there since New Year's Eve 2008. We had a reservation that evening and were seated promptly. The waiter explained from the outset that absolutely no changes to the entrees of any kind would be permitted. OK, I don't like it, but after all it is not my restaurant, so those are not my rules. We ordered drinks and our dinner at the same time. I requested a Caesar Salad without the anchovies as I assumed that it would not be a problem to leave something off a salad. One might think that the anchovies are the topping...and would go on last. Wrong! Their Caesar Salad comes with anchovies, and making a change of any kind is not permitted. "Ja wohl, mein Kellner ! And, how stupid of me to suggest otherwise." The food is good as seen by the large crowds, especially during the winter season. But, based on their poor attitude, and the fact that V&A is far from inexpensive, I cannot recommend it as there are too many other establishments that will actually accommodate your simple requests.

  • Mike P.

I love this place. If price is a concern go in during lunch time when try prices are very reasonable. I work in the area and can get an amazing meal with the best bread and soup for around $12. The bread alone is worth going here. Try the grandmas chicken wings appetizer. (I think that's what they're called)

    (4)
  • Jenny C.

Wow this place is amazing. The food is very tasty. I would of given it a 5 star but the prices are threw the roof and I feel like the environment is a little casual for the price. The servers wear orange crocks. My server was amazing. We were greeted with the best service. I had a seafood risotto. It has little neck clams in it, grouper, calamari, shrimp, lobster it was soooooo good. It was the best I've ever had. The Vino was very tasty. We had a bottle of Merlot. Good service. Great food, high prices in a failing economy. I love it!! I can't wait to go back and I heard they have a happy hour that's amazing!!

    (4)
  • Matt R.

Decent service. Great outdoor seating Half meatball panini and salad is more than a decent size lunch. Salad seemed pre-made not mixed at time of order. Meatballs and peppers were very good.

If they don't already, I think they need a Gluten free pizza . I loveeee their pizza but I recently went on a gluten free diet, so I'd be able to eat there again if they had that option

I've been coming to PGA National for years but this is the first time I discover this restaurant. I'll definitely be back! We had Open Table reservation. We were seated promptly and given a choice of tables. We were brought water right away soon followed by some nice garlic bread. We ordered eggplant pizza and asked for goat cheese which wasn't on the menu. The pizza was done perfect. Arrived promptly and was served with care along with our wine bottle. Environment was just perfect...quiet, not too cold, chairs were comfortable. I'm definitely coming back next time we come!! The only downside and the reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the prices. We paid $70 including tip for one pizza and one bottle of the second cheapest wine. Other than that, very nice.

Vic and Angelo's is how Italian should be done. The Caesar salad for a starter was prepared in a very unique approach. When they said Romaine hearts, they really give you the whole heart. My only complaint about it was a little too much dressing, but I thought the presentation was great, it was new and definitely caught me off guard, I loved it! For my entree I had the linguine ciappino and I was expecting it to be overcooked like many other Italian restaurants. The lobster wasn't overcooked to a point where it was dry, but it was slightly more on the well done side. Overall I was very pleased with my meal and the service. I definitely will go there for another meal if I find myself in palm beach gardens again.

Food has great flavor. Prices are a bit too pricey...especially side dishes. Our waiter was way too opinionated, and butted himself into our conversations. Nice guy, but a bit too much for us to handle. Over all good

We absolutely love Vic & Angelo's in Palm Beach Gardens! Delray is another story, for another review...... We went for dinner last night for my birthday; the service was excellent, the food amazing, as always. I would give this restaurant 5 stars, except for one thing. When the bill came, we noticed that there were discrepancies between the price on the menu and what was on the bill. Some were just a few cents, but one was as much as a $3 difference. The board with 3 cheeses in the menu is 16.99, but we were charged $20. We didn't question the waiter on it, but in hindsight, I wish we would have. I'm sure if we'd brought it to their attention they would have immediately corrected it.

Love this place! The salads are always fresh. It's so nice to enjoy an evening on the patio. Get a few appetizers with friends and enjoy!

Father's Day was very disappointing! Don't get the Belgian waffles on the brunch menu! ONE Waffle for $10.00...and no whipped cream! I'm pretty sure we were the first of the day, yet my veal was burnt! Awful!!!!!!dont waste your time!

Ah... Vic and Angelos. Anybody who knows my family knows Vic and Angelos. I live in New Orleans but I never miss a trip here when I'm over in Florida. My grandparents bring all their guests here and frequent it regularly on their own. It's great. Very good Italian food. I love their mushroom pappardelle. I love their pizzas (order one for an appetizer for the table). I love their wine choices. Their fresh veggies. Everything about this place has people rushing back. I really enjoy the ambience both inside and out. Inside I have sat at the huge Italian family-looking tables. I have also enjoyed their red booths that are oh so soft and nice. My favorite place to sit is outside underneath the starlight where they have candles and outside heaters incase you get a chill.

I normally visit V&A once or twice a week to eat or enjoy a drink at the bar while I work on my laptop using their convenient wireless connection. The food is always excellent and the bar tenders and servers are always pleasant and attentive. It is not uncommon to find a drink waiting for me when I sit down. Eddie, the manager, is especially visible to all of his guests and ensures that a great meal is served every time. I am a fan favorite of the rigatoni bolognese with added sausage. Also, the pizzas are as close to heaven as you will ever find in South Florida. We often bring friends with kids here as they have a great area close by where the kids can play human-size chess or bocce while parents enjoy a meal al fresco style.

Chicken Milanese was excellent as usual and the veal parmesan unfortunately was a bit cool and the cheese not well melted. Overall, food fair. Although we had reservations still had to wait and it looked like the hostess was 'in shock' with new people approaching her station - maybe she was new. We were eventually seated at a large table in a busy thoroughfare spot in the restaurant but were allowed to move to a properly sized table after asking a waiter. I think the restaurant management needs to pay closer attention to the flow of customers coming in and being seated as well as attention to detail on the food prep. Too bad, it's a good restaurant and could use with a bit of improvement in consistency.

We had dinner at Vic and Angelo's and I would EASILY say this is the best Italian Restaurant in South Florida. This truly is the standard of which all Italian restaurants should strive to achieve. The service was impeccable and the meal (veal parmigna) was AMAZING! Also, the bread they bring out when you sit down is unbelievable... crispy baked and buttery, herby inside. I highly suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for a true italian meal that won't disappoint.

Great atmosphere...tremendous drinks but the food is awful. I would go back for the drinks and maybe an appetizer. But of the 10 or more times I have dined here I get sick within several hours of the experience. A gluten for punishment I guess in going back - but truly a relaxing experience with great service and atmosphere. Drinks a must? Dinner a bust!

I do enjoy the food here. My favorite is to come with friends and get one pizza and the mushroom pappardelle and share. Delicious. However, I have a serious customer service issue with this place. I have had several rude waiters (including one who was flagrantly intoxicated), been kept waiting for a long time on two occasions when I had reservations. However, my biggest issue is that they never responded to the following letter and follow up calls regarding a party I attempted to schedule there. Bottom Line: the food is good in an area that doesn't have great food (SoFl) but customer service is not. LETTER: March 31, 2010 Jason, or Other Manager Vic & Angelo's - Palm Beach Gardens VIA E-MAIL AND USPS RE: Customer Service Concern First off, let me say that V&A's - Palm Beach Gardens is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I do not eat out very often but when I do, chances are high I am going to your restaurant. I also regularly recommend it to friends. You can see through activity on OpenTable that I am both a repeat and long-time customer, and that doesn't include the times I have dropped by without a reservation. As such, it was a natural first choice of venue for my birthday dinner party to be held on March 20th. I always have an enjoyable experience when I go, so I assumed it would be a great choice as a place to gather my friends. We first contacted your Palm Beach Gardens restaurant regarding the possible party via your website ( vicandangelos.com/events… / groups@vicandangelos.com ) on Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 10:38 AM. We received the following response: ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Kierrahoward@vicandangel… Date: Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 10:32 AM Subject: Greetings! To: xxx@gmail.com Please contact Gretchen at Gretchen@devitosouthbeac… for all group and party accommodations at Devito South Beach...and contact Groups@vicandangelos.com for all Vic and Angelo s accommodations. Thank you Upon receipt, we called the restaurant directly on March 11th and spoke to a woman who said that manager Jason would call me. He didn't hear back from the email or message to Jason, and left another message on their phone on Saturday morning the 13th. We called one more time on Monday the 15th without success. Finally, only five (5) days out from the party date, we decided we couldn't wait any longer and made a reservation instead at Sushi Jo, also in PGA Commons. The party was a big success, 17 people attended the and the bill totaled well over $1,200. More people may have been able to come, but I got several RSVPs stating that the guest wished they had been invited earlier, because they had recently made plans for that date and could not attend my party. This upset me because had we received a prompt response from your restaurant, the invitations would have arrived a whole week earlier. I simply wanted to express my displeasure over this experience and caution you that V&A is no longer my favorite restaurant. After years of being a loyal customer, I expected better treatment than being completely ignored. You can reach me at 561.xxx .xxxx or by e-mail at xxxxx@gmail.com with any questions.

3-stars for the pizza and zucchini fritti. The pizzas have thin crusts, decent sauce, good amt of cheese, and are generally pretty good for the area. 2-stars for service (slow) and everything else I've tried. I would be a little more generous with the stars but for the price point, the food should be better. Also, the bread that was brought out was cold (pet peeve) and the olive oil that was presented with it was tasteless. If a resto is going to serve oil with bread, at least make sure that the oil is flavorful.

overpriced, bland, bad customer service. I'd much rather go to Stresa on Okeechobee for real Italian food and friendly service.

I used to love this place, but they have been cutting corners lately. They used to have the best bread in town that went perfect with the cheese platter. Now their bread comes out in a bag and has no flavor. (it tastes like cardboard) On the plus side - they have improved the service a lot.

The food is good, but very expensive. The service is terrible!! We waited 40 minutes to have our dishes removed, every waiter would pass by our table very abruptly and not even glance our way. I had clear view of the hostess stand where the manager stood the whole time, hello, why aren't you checking on tables if your wait staff is too busy?? It took another 35 minutes to get dessert; the manager came over after 25 minutes to apologize (half heartedly) for the wait. At the rate things were going the dessert SHOULD have been taken off the bill. I miss the old days when the servers were friendly, the food quality and prices were much better, and the music was Frank Sinatra and not some hard rock music blasting through dinner.

One of the best places for Italian in S. FL hands down! Try the Veal Angelo....The Best! Never had a bad meal there and never felt it wasn't worth the money.

Food was really good- the wait however? Ridiculous. Lots of eye candy for the guys. Since the weather was good, we sat outside....this might have backfired, however, as the music is so loud that conversation is virtually impossible. The outdoor seating is right next to an outside bar, so we should have expected the noise level. Service was okay, not stellar.... Ordered a pizza with no cheese and it was great. Would definitely recommend.

Love the ambiance, definitly authentic. Wine list awesome, great place to go on a chilly winter night, sit outside and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace. The appetizers are interesting, and the main courses are delicous. Service was outstanding... Great place to go and watch the Godfather :)

We love V&A's!! From the killer bread to start to the app's & salads, the best-you've-ever-had chicken wings, to the amazing pizzas & pasta dishes - oh, & the great wine list - you can NOT go wrong here. They're right, it's not budget-conscious cheap ... and it's worth more than every penny! Great atmosphere though the outside bar gets busy earlier & earlier, it seems. Probably those amazing Happy Hour app specials ;) ...

Went for lunch yesterday. We both had veal dishes. Huge piece of veal at a good price, but the taste left something to be desired. Acceptable service. The garlic bread and the 1/2 price on a bottle of wine was the highlight of the day. Don't think we'll go back.

This was our first visit and will be our last. The prices are exorbitant for the quality of the food. The food was at best mediocre. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children. The bill for 4 entrees and 3 juices was $105. My lasagna had the ricotta just plopped on top like an afterthought and no mozarella to be found.. One of the worst I have eaten. The angel hairi with alfredo sauce for my granddaughter was dry, barely any sauce. She took two bites and left it. They charged us $4 per juice and the childrens' juices (orange juice) were served in a foam cup only three quarters full. The best thing about the restaurant was the garlic bread.

Great spot for 2 or 12. Outdoor seating. Family-friendly. Grilled calamari (they have fried too, which is sweeter than the tangy, spicy, grilled dish--we all preferred the grilled), veal scallopine (with excellent broccoli rabe and cheesy, garlicky risotto), cheese pizza (great thin crust), gnocchi (with choice of sauce), Caesar salad with white anchovies, veal parm, buffalo mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes and prosciutto...whether it was my dish or someone else's, it was all really good. Really good. Desserts were traditional Italian fare: gelato, tiramisu, cannoli. There was a chocolate fudge cake that was highly recommended and enough for 4+ people. I would have ordered it (I adore chocolate cake) but the rest of the grownups in the group were not dessert people. No fun.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
